A detailed lesson that starts by looking at Jesus Baptism by John the Baptist. The lesson then looks at the two types of baptism complete with a collaborative learning activity. There’s a suggested video clip and instructions. I have also included an opportunity for debate as regards the age someone should be baptised. This lesson serves as an introduction to the role and purpose of the family by looking at different types of family and then moves on to look at Christian beliefs attitudes. There are a variety of worksheets on the slides that are printable. Some are more challenging some lesson challenging. Students are given the activity to create a campaign for more food banks from a Christian perspective with a success criteria. This lesson supports page 56-57 of the textbook. Students are encouraged to create a factfile about the growth of the church. The internet could be used to supplement this lesson. The lesson starts with a discussion activity and has key info about CFAN along with a video clip Outcomes: Must: Identify facts about the growth and decline of Christianity Should: Explain what the CfaN is and what they do. Could: Suggest reasons for the growth and decline of the church.
